About

Our Journey

Celebrating 30 Years in the Triangle

We have been a part of the Triangle community since 1992, when Tom co-founded Nana’s Restaurant in Durham- named one of 1992’s Best New Restaurants by Esquire Magazine.   Since then, we have developed multiple restaurant concepts and advised some of the area’s best museums and universities in creating guest focused food experiences.

Our mission is to love and to nourish our guests, our teammates and our partners in such a way that we show God’s love for all.  We want to love our neighbors as ourselves, and as such, have a unique way of building relationships with our guests.  It is this relationship building that is the key to our mission and reflects our commitment to being the best we can be.

Today, Southern Harvest Hospitality Group operates the Sprout Cafe and Elements Coffee House inside the NC Museum of Life and Science and is an advisor and caterer to Duke University Athletics, KnowledgeWell and FarmingWell and premier venues such as The Matthews House in Cary.

We are honored to serve over 100 wedding couples annually, as well as tens of thousands of fans, guests and VIPs throughout the Triangle.  We have solid relationships with local farmers and suppliers (some for 30 years!) and have the relationships built to help all of our guests realize their goals for their events.
