Prohibitive was opened in September, 2022 within the historical Downtown Cary location, The Matthews House. The Matthews House was built in 1915 and it has quite the homey feel. Because of this, Prohibitive was inspired by the Prohibition Era speakeasys. With classic cocktails, small share plates, and a variety of small rooms to sit in, it is the place to be in Cary, NC. Owned and operated as a collaboration between Southern Harvest and The Matthews House, Prohibitive is opened Wednesday – Friday 4pm-10pm.
